We have always maintained that our employees are our greatest asset and we are now seeking to add to our team on the Big Island of Hawaii. We are searching for a qualified candidate to fill an opening for an Office Manager in our Waikoloa office.

 

*Relocation will not be paid for this position.

 

 

JOB SUMMARY
The Office Manager for Blasting Technology, Inc. will review and approve project time cards, job costs, data and cost entry, prepare pay applications for clients and perform invoice review and approval. General office duties include managing a very dynamic and quickly changing office that supports project operations in multiple locations. The successful candidate will prepare cost analysis reports on each project and assist the General Manager by providing information. They will also prepare job costs, billings and subcontract pay vouchers, plus manage travel arrangements for crews traveling from project to project.

 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Supports Project Teams and General Manager in preparing quantity surveys, production reports and cost reports.

  • Assists Project Teams and General Manager in tracking manpower utilization and productivity.
     

  • Orders supplies and other materials, as needed.
     

  • Prepares cost breakdown, reviews with General Manager for concurrence and makes adjustments as necessary.
     

  • Prepares data for monthly invoices, forced account sheets, pay estimates, monthly increases, back-charges, if applicable, and submits to General Manager in a timely manner.
     

  • May code and approve invoices.
     

  • Reviews timecards daily and communicates any discrepancies to the payroll clerk.
     

  • Answers the phones and performs other clerical work (such as screening telephone calls, typing, faxing, copying and filing).
     

  • Regular attendance is required for the position.
     

  • Additional Training is available for this position
     

  • Willingness and ability to be trained in Cost Management Software is critical to this position
     

  • Runs errands using the company vehicle.

     

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
     

SKILLS/TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
• Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering, accounting, finance, general management or equivalent work experience.

 

Must have computer experience using Microsoft Word, Access, Excel and cost tracking software.

 

Considerable ability to make mathematical computations by hand, adding machine and/or calculator.

 

Considerable ability to follow oral and written instructions.

 

Must have excellent oral skills to communicate effectively with customers, employees, management and vendors.

 

Valid Hawaii Driver’s License is required.
