Goodfellow Bros. (GBI) is a 98-year-old, 4th generation family-owned business, operating all over the West Coast, but known for its extensive presence on the Hawaiian Islands. GBI has experienced tremendous success over its history in both the private and public market with projects spanning multiple states and multiple disciplines, including airports, bridges, dams, golf courses, harbors, highways, housing developments, marinas, parks, wastewater treatment facilities and wind and solar farms.

We have always maintained that our employees are our greatest asset and are now seeking to add to our team on the Island of Maui in Hawaii. We are searching for a qualified candidate to fill an opening for a Receptionist in our Kihei, Maui office.

Job Summary
The Receptionist is a full-time position and will support the Maui office with the common goal of living out our company’s mission and vision statements. This is a very important position and represents the "first impression" of our company for our callers and guests.

The primary duties include maintaining the front desk, receiving calls and visitors at office and then determining the nature of business, and directing callers and visitors to appropriate destination. Other required functions are listed below as well as any other assigned tasks by the Executive Assistant.

Essential Functions
  • Learn to understand the company Mission and Vision statements and the Goodfellow Way
  • Responsible to open the office each morning.
  • Responsible for greeting guests, and answering incoming calls
  • Process daily mail - USPS, FedEx, UPS, etc.
  • Responsible for office supply orders and invoicing
  • Manage the reception desk calendar 
  • Handles bank deposits and petty cash
  • Assist with office gatherings and company events
  • Performs other duties as assigned

SKILLS / TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
  • High School graduate or GED required
  • Two years minimum experience in an administrative role, preferably in construction industry
  • Well-versed with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Valid Driver's License with clean driver's abstract
